Pandemonium broke out in Akungba Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday night as a student of the state owned Adekunle Ajasin University located in the town was stabbed to death.
The student, Temitayo Ayodeji was said to have had a disagreement with some indigenes of the town before he was later stabbed to death in his hostel.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state police command, Funmi Odunlami-Omisanya confirmed the incident in a statement issued last night.
She said Students took to the street to protest, while the corpse has been taken to the morgue by the police .
Omisanya added that a house belonging to a mother of one of the suspected killers had been razed by the angry protesting students.
She further confirmed that peace has finally returned to the community.
