The Nigerian senate Wednesday received president Tinubu request to confirm the Nomination of Saka Bolanji Suleiman and Gaji Dantata as Members of the federal Judicial service commission
The request is contained in a letter read by the Deputy president of the Senate Barau Jibrin during Wednesdays plenary
President Tinubu says the move is in accordance with the provisions of section 154 sub section one of the constitution
He added that the nominations are made in view of the vacancies within the commission , occasioned by the death of Abba Aji on the 14th of February 2023 and the upcoming expiry tenure in the office of Alhaji Mohamed sagir on 24th October 2023
The request is referred to the committee of the whole to be considered on the next legislative day
