Suspected Yoruba nation hoodlums lay seige on Federal Radio station in Ibadan

Intruders suspected to be agitators of Yoruba nation on Sunday morning hijacked broadcast activities on Amuludun 99.1 FM, Ibadan.

 

Amuludun FM, Moniya Ibadan is one of the FM sub- Stations of the Federal Radio Corporation Of Nigeria, (FRCN )(Radio Nigeria, Ibadan zone)

 

The agitators after invading the FM station, seized the phones of the workers on duty and took over the air.

 

Some of the agitators were heard saying they are Yoruba nation agitators and were on air for about an hour asking their sponsors to come out.

 

Obviously with the proactiveness of the security agencies that arrived the station, the intruders began raising alarm that they’ve been attacked with guns, calling on their sponsors to come to their rescue.

 

As at the time of filing this the General Manager of the station, Stephen Agbaje, confirmed that the situation has been brought under control by the security agencies.

 

He added that some arrests have been made by the Nigerian Police
