President Bola Tinubu, accompanied by Muslim faithful, congregated at the State House mosque for the Ramadan Tafsir (explanation of the Holy Qur’an) on Tuesday, where he appealed to Nigerians to prioritize prayers for peace and stability in the country during the holy month of Ramadan.  Declaring the commencement of the annual Tafsir, President Tinubu delivered a heartfelt message, urging Muslim faithful to embody kindness towards one another and extend support to the less privileged in society. Amidst the challenges facing the nation, including kidnapping and banditry, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and spiritual reflection during these trying times.  “We thank Almighty Allah for granting us another opportunity to observe the holy month of Ramadan. Despite the challenges we face as a nation, we must remain steadfast in our faith and demonstrate compassion towards our fellow Nigerians,” stated President Tinubu.  Acknowledging the adversities confronting the nation, President Tinubu implored Nigerians to draw strength from their faith and remain resolute in their commitment to positive change. He urged citizens to extend their love and prayers to their neighbors, emphasizing the significance of unity and solidarity in overcoming national challenges.  In his address to the Ulamas, President Tinubu emphasized the pivotal role of religious leaders in guiding and inspiring the faithful. He underscored the importance of teaching forgiveness, patience, and endurance, urging religious leaders to impart these virtues to their followers.  “It is incumbent upon us to exemplify the spirit of sacrifice and generosity during this blessed month. Let us embrace humility and compassion as we strive to make Nigeria a better place for all,” urged President Tinubu.  In concluding his address, President Tinubu offered prayers for the nation, invoking divine guidance and blessings upon the people of Nigeria. He expressed hope that the observance of Ramadan would serve as a catalyst for positive change and collective action towards building a stronger, more prosperous nation.  Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, reiterated President Tinubu’s message of unity and resilience, emphasizing the importance of prayer and spiritual reflection during Ramadan. He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith and continue to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation.
